An Impact Dress and the Superstition Mountains

When I first saw this gorgeous dress from Joyfolie, I knew it would be amazing for a photo shoot. The color is gorgeous and the material is fabulously flowy. I finally got around to ordering it and convinced my daughter to model for me. (It didn’t take much convincing!) Not only is the dress amazing, but Joyfolie donates $100 of product to Big Brother Big Sister for every dress purchased.

A dress like this needed an epic location and the backdrop of the Superstition Mountains was perfect!

Spring is my favorite time to shoot out near the Superstition Mountains. The landscape is green with pops of color from the wildflowers that bloom thanks to the winter rains.

We started shooting about an hour before sunset and the light just got better and better as sunset approached. The setting sun bathed the mountains in golden light.

Of course, we had to get some sunset and silhouette images as well – some of my favorite images to create!
